ABVP asks Center to Think about Safety of student-examinees before Conducting Class XII Examinations

New Delhi: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad in its memorandum to the Union Education Minister has requested the Central Government to think about future and security of their student-examinees before conducting the Class XII examinations which are pending because of this COVID-19 pandemic.

“In light of the prevailing scenario, book ways of running the pending examinations like open book assessments, remote assessments using enrolled posts, examinations for important subjects could be researched for conducting examinations together with physical distancing in forthcoming July- August. A variety of state authorities are embracing similar imaginative strategies,” the memorandum said.

The student team has indicated that because there’s a”continuous reduction in the amount of fresh COVID-19 instances,” the impending exams could be coordinated on a comparatively shorter timescale at the weeks of July-August.

ABVP, at its Memorandum of proposals has advocated that the test of final year students of different universities and colleges on the grounds of decreased syllabi, raising the amount of centers for holding one-day entry exams for admission to reputed schools and universities from the weeks of July-August.

Nidhi Tripathi, National General Secretary, ABVP, stated,”The analysis of Class XII students gained significance in light of how admissions into different undergraduate programmes derive from the Old Secondary Merit List. The Central Government in addition to state authorities need to determine judicially taking into consideration the security, academic and health prospects of pupils so that pupils do not need to deal with issues later on.”
