Bengaluru: Violence broke out in Bangalore University when police used Lathi’s accusations in ABVP members who protested the delay on the signs near the main campus building.
Some students were injured in the incident.
On Monday morning, around 120 ABVP protesters gathered near the main building gate on the Jnana Bharathi campus to meet VC.
There was also a group of postgraduate students and studies that protested Raichur’s incident, where photos of Dr.
Br Ambedkar were removed during the Republic Day function.
“The police told us that other groups also protested and we had to return.
The police also told us that VC was not in the office.
While we were peacefully protested there, lahi police-demanded us.
Many of us were injured,” said Tejas Reddy, ABVP members.
The police said there was an argument between the two groups.
“More than 100 postgraduate students protest against Raichur’s incident.
At the same time, around 120 ABVP members reached the same venue, said they needed to meet VC.
Postgraduate students objected to ABVP requests said most protesters were not from Ms.
Immediately, the heated argument broke out between them and felt the problem, police officials intervened.
However, the students and members of the ABVP encouraged police officials and we used light powers to disperse the hordes, “said a senior police officer.
