Academy manager was held for the wrong Lynching youth for molester aide

Gurgaon: Manjeet, a manager at the Badminton Academy where a 21-year-old migrant worker allegedly beaten to death on Monday afternoon, was arrested on Friday.
The police said Manjeet was the main suspect in the murder of Anuj Kumar, who allegedly struggled for almost three hours before he fainted and died.
Manjeet, according to the police, has brought Kumar and his brother-in-law of Sanjay to the academy, tied them to cuddly and beat them with sticks and stems after they were mistakenly identified by the 17-year-old Badminton trainee as accomplices as a front foot.

Binda Prasad, a cleaner at the Academy, allegedly helped Manjeet.
Binda was arrested on Tuesday.

Manjeet, who was related to the owner of the Badminton Academy, was arrested from a house in Bawai on Friday morning, police said.
He is among the three people mentioned in FIR.
The other two are punites, who run the canteen at the Academy, and Manish, a coach.
The police said they had not found evidence so far to prove that Manish was directly involved in the murder.
He was not present at the Academy later, said a police officer.
On Monday afternoon, Trainee Badminton returned to his hostel from college classes when he was allegedly harassed by biker.
He took refuge in the nearest house and called Manish, his coach.
Manish called Manjit and asked him to rush to the place.
Anuj and Sanjay happened to be there at the same time, waiting for a contractor who promised anuj’s job.
After mistakenly identified as Molester, Manjit and other legs allegedly combining Anuj and Sanjay into the car and took him to the academy.
When the workers said they were waiting for a pipe contractor, Manjeet and Punit, restaurant owner, allegedly to go again, arrest Chandan and took him to the academy.
Chandan also sank.
Because the academy was closed that day, the police said they found it difficult to gather witnesses.
They have not been able to access CCTV footage as attackers take digital video recorders with them.
“Trainee was not present at the Academy because it was closed that day.
However, 10-15 people have gathered to witness the attack,” said ACP (Crime) Preeting afternoon Sangwan.
According to senior police officers, Manjeet took it to “resolve the problem” and taught migrant worker lessons.
“He has perceptions and attacks them for hours.
In the process, one of the people died,” Sangwan said.
Sanjay previously told TI before that their attackers used Casteist slurs while beating them.
“They should just hand them to the police if they have doubts.
It is the police duty to investigate.
Only the court has the power to punish someone,” ACP said.
