JAIPUR: The ACB on Sunday divided a racket involved with corruption in gas pumps and detained a deputy general director (DGM) of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) published at Kota plus a middlemen while measuring alleged paychecks of Rs two lakh.
Acting to a tip-off, sleuths detained the DGM plus also a middleman with Rs 1 lakh each from Jaipur while were ditching the bribe money obtained by a gasoline pump operator of Tonk.
The ACB also arrested four other people including some gas pump owners and also an officer of HPCL within this connection.
ADG ACB MN Dinesh stated explained,”We had been obtaining inputs that Rajesh Kumar Singh was carrying refuge from gasoline pump owners instead of providing them different favours linked to their license renewal and additional convictions.
He was carrying the bribes throughout his middleman Kishan Vijay.
On Sundayour staff detained both Singh and Vijay with pay money of Rs 1 lakh each.” Senior officials said other people were detained and ACB teams pioneered hunts at the homes and offices of both Singh and Vijay at Jaipur, Kota, Tonk and Ajmer.
“Hopefully, we’ll detain four more within this relationship in the evening time or by tomorrow as we’re questioning them.
One of the four is just one Kapil Vijay, nephew of all Kishan Vijay, that also followed closely bribe money,” said Sameer Kumar Singh, SP, ACB-Ajmer.
According to sources inside ACB, people who’d been arrested comprised owner of a gas pump who had delivered Rs two lakh paychecks to Singh.
“Hopefully, we’ll create more arrests to float the entire racket of HPCL officials and gas pump owners,” said Dinesh.
