Jaipur: The Chairman of the Ashok Minister Gehlot on Monday said that given the commitment of the state government about corruption, ACB has an important role to play.
Along with strengthening ACB with staff and technical resources, the adequate budget has been allocated so that it works more powerfully effectively implementing state government policies of tolerance to corruption.
Gehlot is reviewing the ACB function through video conferencing from the residence of the ministerial head.
Connect ACB to act pro-actively in corruption cases, he said in 2021, prosecution sanctions had been given in about 90 percent of cases by the state government, which showed the government’s commitment to corruption.
He directed that the cases, were delayed for any reason, should not be delayed due to prosecution sanctions.
CM says the agency captures corrupt personnel with red hands when taking bribes through a 430 trap process, which is the highest every year after the bureau formation.
Last year, ACB arrested 32 central government officials in bribery cases and discard 575 cases, which were achievements.
Gehlot said in 2021, the decision to sanction prosecution in 587 cases was taken by the state government, which was the highest date until now.
He said considering a bad complainant, the state government had formed RS 1 Crore’s rotary funds to improve the work efficiency of ACB and increase the rate of research, 239 staff officers in all ranks have been appointed in ACB.
The minister’s chairman describes innovation ‘alike gram yojana’ by ACB as a good initiative.
He said it could be an effective media to examine corruption in rural areas and prevent waste in government public welfare schemes.
He asked ACB officials to not be limited to 51 villages chosen under the scheme.
