Accident prevention team at 12 police stations to improve black spots

Nagpur: Amitesh Kumar City Police Chief has formed 12 accident prevention teams, based in different police pumps, to analyze ‘black’ or vulnerable spots where maximum fatal accidents occur in the past year.
In addition, orders have been issued for strict action against heavy vehicles because they are behind the death of 140 victims last year.
In addition to writing to the agents concerned, such as the NMC, the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), and PWD, the city police have also studied the assessment, supervision and risk management of 90 places intended as black and vulnerable places.
