Lucknow: When India crosses a milestone of 100 doses of Covid-19 Crore, the top, with 12.3 Crore Jabs, stands more than 12%, the highest in this country.
Maharashtra, with more than 9.3 doses of crore and West Bengal with 6.9 doses of crore are the next two countries in total inoculation.
In, 9.48 people crore have taken the first dose while 2.83 crores are fully vaccinated.
This means that 81% of 15.04 crore people who meet the above requirements have taken at least one temporary dose of 18.4% fully vaccinated.
Experts appreciate the greatness of the work done above, especially in the light of factors such as limited vaccine availability, priority of union government vaccination in high prevalence countries such as Maharashtra and Kerala in the early stages and scale of the implementation challenges above.
“Credit for achievement in Uttar Pradesh goes to careful planning and strategies, political leadership that is exemplary and unparalleled commitment displayed by frontline workers,” said Prof.
Manindra Agarwal, Faculty in IIT Kanpur, who had studied control measures Covid-19 above.
He also credits people for success.
“The effort will be in vain having states do not show their trust in the system and avoid all types of negative propaganda to vaccines.” In an interview with TOI in June, CM Yogi Adityanath has claimed to give 10 doses of crore in three months starting July.
The state reached the target on September 25.
Also, in less than a month since a milestone, the country has been able to provide 2 other crore doses.
The government launched a micro plan which includes key elements of awareness, mobilization, supervision supervision for registration, eliminating digital division and taking vaccination camps to villages instead of making people run to the center.
Health Minister Jai Pratap Singh congratulated the frontline worker for that achievement.
“In many districts, health workers rise above the opportunity to serve people,” he said.
Meanwhile, 12 new cases and 14 recovery were reported in the last 24 hours.
