Thane: The Head of the Court Judgment Court gave a guarantee by default to one of the accusers captured by the Thane police in a well-known extortion case involving former Police Commissioner Thane-Mumbai Bir Singh which was between 28 others.
The defendant received a guarantee because the police failed to submit a chargesheet in the specified 60-day period.
The Special PP Pradip Gharat reiterated to the Toi that Babasaheb Nikam investigative officers so far did not give him a brief related to this case and again on Wednesday he promised to provide documents related to the case but did not give.
Ghārat added that he was given a guarantee at the RS 15,000 guarantee.
