Mangaluru: MLA UT Khader has demanded that the police order a case of Suo Motu against those who put banners that could trigger communal incidents.
Khader told the media here on Tuesday that criminals had put up spotts between people in Dakshina Kannada.
“Banners that indirectly ban people from other religions from running a business are accommodated at the Ullalabailu Daivasthana annual Festival in Ullal.
However, the police immediately took off banners.
Such hatred actions can be stopped effectively, by ordering a case of Suo Motu to those who put them , “said Khader, and urged the police not to wait for complaints.
He also looked for actions against the printing agent who printed banners found in Ullalabail.
“People from different religions in Ullalabailu live harmoniously.
People from all communities establish a store during the annual festival in ullal every year.
Now, some criminals try to divide people on religious lines.
The case must be ordered to those who put banners, and printers that print banners.
Printer licenses must also be canceled.
Everyone has the right to run a business in a public place, “Khader said, referring to banners.
