Ahmedabad: While a drive to disconnect the pollutant industrial unit drainage is underway on the order of the Gujarat High Court, the judges on Friday ordered the authorities to take criminal acts of housing community plans that directly enter the Sabarmati River.
This problem was taken to court notification during the hearing of Suo Motu pills in wastewater treated with incorrectly dismissed to the river.
Amicus Curiae in this case, advocating Hemang Shah, previously showed that a shared task force considering the waste disposal that was not treated from the housing community to the river.
He and JTF members, Rohit Prajapani, also attracted the attention of the court to come out directly.
On Friday, JB Pardiwala justice and justice VD Nanavati acknowledged this and directed the authorities to immediately find these offenders, “If you find a certain house in the community, there must be termination of their relationship immediately.
There should be prosecution in such a community office.
“The Judges then reaffirmed again,” If there is a housing community to get rid of the waste disposal directly to the Sabarmati River, there will be a criminal prosecution of the carrier.
You must stop this.
“The court has ordered Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) and the control agency Pollution Gujarat (GPCB) to launch a drive to take a drainage connection of industrial units that issue their trade waste in waste stripes.
The court has ordered the termination because the trade effluent was carried out in the waste line to STP, which could not properly treat this mixed wastewater and the plants were damaged.
The authorities have snapped 380 of these connections to date.
On Friday, the court learned that the mega pipeline, which was mainly determined to bring treated industrial wastewater, from a general waste treatment plant (CETPS) to Sabrary also had illegal domestic connections quickly remove the pipe and reduce its carrying capacity.
Amicus talked about 12 housing communities whose waste connections joined the Mega pipeline intended for the industry.
One company that operates CETPS also complained about the 66 illegal connections to the mega pipe and around 30 connections were wrapped.
The High Court ordered that the illegal connection was identified and stated immediately.
AMC and companies that operate mega pipes will jointly carry out operations.
The court posted a further hearing on the issue of river pollution for January 7.
