With 2022 elections only 15 months, the new CM tried to balance the caste and regional equations with Roping in Patridar, Tribe, OBC and Brahmins in the new government.
The challenge clearly for the new ministers is the performance considering that no one has experience in government administration and a short time before the poll.
According to sources, this is the highest representation in the state government so far for South Gujarat and observers believe that veteran Paatil, parliamentarians from Navsari, plays an important role for the region.
There were three cabinet ministers, two state ministers (independent charge) and two state ministers from the region.
Importantly, Purnesh Modi from Surat East gets the main portfolio of roads and housing, transportation, civil aviation, tourism and Yatradham Vikas while Kanu Desai from Pardi received an important finance and energy department.
In BJP cadres, there are feelings of rejuvenation as much as possible that young faces will give their hearts and soul into public work.
Gujarat Tengah also saw the number of ministers doubling eight in the new cabinet.
The region only has four ministers in the government of Rupani which includes two of the city of Ahmedabad – Pradipshad Jadeja and Kaushik Patel.
However, new dispensation has eight ministers with Kheda also get a representation.
Vadodara City which only has Yogesh Patel as a minister of seeing Rajendra Trivedi and Mana Vakil to get a place.

“In the 2017 assembly poll, BJP fell to only 99 seats but the Central and South Gujarat firmly remained with the party.
