Coimbatore: District reported 3,448 fresh Covid-19 cases on Friday, taking calculations to 3,06,023.
With 3,472 patients who were dismissed on that day, the number of active cases had dropped to 27, 45 years of men from the district died of infection, took the dead to 2,558.
He tested the positive Covid-19 on Wednesday and was treated at College Medical Coimbatore Hospital.
He died on the same day.
The hospital authorities say that he has a commorbid condition.
The level of participant continues to be the cause of concern in Coimbatore and Tirupur regencies by 27% and 29.6% respectively.
Officially said that most of the beds in Coimbatore Regency were still empty.
There are 2,809 oxygen beds, 2,059 non-oxygen beds and 756 blank ICU beds.
Meanwhile, 759 oxygen beds, 477 non-oxygen beds and 137 ICU beds were occupied.
Of the 4,951 beds are available at the Covid treatment center, only 176 have been occupied so far.
Health officials collected a large number of Rs 72,900 of the 194 violator mask rules and 48 commercial companies to violate social distance rules.
