Vadodara: another big surge witnessed in the Covid-19 case in the city and district with 281 people tested positive on Friday.
Compared to Thursday, 105 cases were added again on Friday.
281 new cases detected from 7,574 tests conducted in the city and district.
With this, the total number of cases detected in the city and district has so far increased by 73,692.
Cases are now distributed throughout the city with only small differences in different zones.
While the 78 new cases reported from the West Zone, 60 emerged from the North Zone, 51 of the East Zone and 50 of the South Zone.
Rural areas from the district outside the city also reported 42 cases.
The number of active cases in the city and district reached 947 where 116 was hospitalized.
Three patients were in the ventilator or the Bipap engine and 11 others were in the icus.
