Chennai: In a week, the number of cases of Active Covid-19 in the city has increased by 97, official data released by the Greater Chennai Corporation show.
As on September 10, the city has 1,798 active cases, which increased to 1,895 on September 17.
Data issued by the Ministry of Health in Buletin Covid19 every day shows that the level of pepositives test in the city continues to be controlled at 1% and a little less.
At present, six of the fifteen zones have less than 100 active cases.
It is Tiruvottiyur (50), Manali (15), Madhavaram (61), Royapuram (82), Alandur (97) and Shollingallur (93).
A week ago, eight out of fifteen zones have less than 100 active cases.
Apart from the six mentioned above, Tondairpet and Thiru-VI-Ka Nagar also have less than 100 cases.
The maximum case is currently in Anna Nagar (203) followed by Kodambakkam (201).
This is the only two zones that report more than 200 active cases.
Apart from this increase, official data from wise detention of corporate roads shows that the number of roads that report active cases has been reduced over the past week.
A week ago, there were 872 roads in the city with at least one case; It has now dropped to 834.
The number of roads that reported more than five cases was also reduced from 25 to 20 during the same period, showing official information.
Civic’s body officials said they had increased the vigil in places with large crowds and events behind closed doors.
For example, Corppoation checks around 5,700 events in the wedding room so far.
They have found 455 violations based on a fine of 8.6 lakh collected for violations of standard operating procedures for Covid-19 (SOP).
