Coimbatore: District records 366 fresh Covid-19 cases on Thursday, taking a number of active cases a little up to 3,957.
With 271 patients out of various treatment centers that day, the number of patients restored had touched 2.17,812 against the count of 2,23,861.
The level of recovery and positivity testing on the day reached 97.2% and 3.8% respectively.
The district also recorded seven other Covid-19 deaths that day.
With this, the toll has swelled to 2,092.
When it comes to the test level of the test, the district is in fifth place in the state after Ariyalur, Nilgiris, Krishnagiri and Trichy.
On Thursday, the district had 6,163 empty beds, including 478 beds of intensive care units and 2,382 oxygen beds.
There are 271 people in house isolation in this district.
Rural areas have seen a little surge in cases with city limits counting 47% of the total cases in the last seven days.
Areas such as tulur, Thudiyalur and Karamadai, which were previous accounting for 5% or less cases, accounted for 7.39%, 7.19% and 7.3% of the total cases during the period.
The number of detention zones has dropped to 156 in the district from more than 1,500 five weeks ago.
Blocks such as Thonbamuthur, Valparai, Pollachi and Mettupalayam do not have a single detention zone on Thursday.
