JAIPUR: No death due to Covid was reported in the state for the second consecutive day on Friday, while 131 tested positive for the virus bringing its overall tally to 9,51,826.
The state’s death toll stands at 8,905.
Also, the active cases in the state have now come down to 1,873.
Majority of the Covid-dedicated hospitals are left with either 5% or below patients with mild symptoms.
Also, majority of the districts in the state are left with less than 100 active cases, while a few are left with 300 to 400 active cases.
“We have started relieving our staff and have started their regular leaves and long pending weekly offs,” Dr Ajeet Singh, Superintendent, RUHS told TOI.
Despite the dip in cases, the health authorities emphasised on the need of following Covid-appropriate behaviour.
“It is the most difficult time when many restrictions are eased.
People going out should follow Covid-appropriate behaviour.
We can’t be complacent,” said Ravi Prakash Sharma, additional director (Rural health) Districts which reported new cases included Alwar (47), Jodhpur(17), Jaipur (12), Jhunjhunu (6), Sriganganagar (6), Hanumangarh (5), Kota (5), Nagaur (5), Sikar (4), Ajmer (3), Bikaner (3), Pali (3), Udaipur (2), Sirohi (2), Sawai Madhopur (2), Chittorarh (2) and one case each was reported from Bharatpur, Bhilwara, Jaisalmer, Jhalawar, Karauli, Pratapgarh and Tonk.
