Activists, intellectuals condemn the search ed at the Harsh Mander place

New Delhi: A group of activists and intellectuals on Thursday condemned the search for the enforcement directorate on harsh human rights activists, said agency actions were part of “sustainable state institutional abuse chains to threaten, intimidate, and try to silence every critic” government.
In a joint statement, a group of more than 25 activists and intellectuals said Mander, a retired IAS officer, did nothing but work for peace and harmony.
Ed on Thursday conducted a search at the office of residence and Mander NGOs in the Vasant Region of Kunj, Adchini and South Mehrauli in connection with money laundering investigations, official source said.
Mander aged 66, who have written a number of books and wrote editorial newspapers on subjects relating to social justice and human rights, left for Germany along with his wife early on Thursday.
“We condemn this attack to harass and intimidate human rights and leading peace activists who do nothing but work for peace and harmony, consistently upheld the highest moral standards of honesty and deadlock,” said the statement.
Those who signed the statement included a former member of the Indian Planning Commission Dr.
Syeda Hameed, economist Jean Dreeze, professor of Delhi Aporpanand University, Senior Advocate India Jaising, Secretary General of the All India Progressive Women Kavita Krishnan, Secretary of Residents for Justice and Peace Teesta Setalvad, and Founder of Anhad NGO Shabnam Hashmi.
They said that for the past year, Mander and his organization, the Center for Equity Study (CES), had experienced sustainable harassment by several state institutions.
“The wrong and evil accusations by the National Commission for Children’s Rights Protection (NCPCR) are definitively opposed by the Delhi Commission for the protection of children’s rights (DCPCR), a legal entity, which has submitted a strong written statement in Delhi High Court, ending false charges against CES, “they said.
The ED case was based on the economic violation of the Delhi Police (EOW) FIR which was submitted in February against CES who run two NGOs for children.
Police complaints submitted below section 75 and 83 (2) from judged juvenile acting along with section 188 (disobedience to order in a way that was shocked by civil servants) from the Civil Servants) of the complaint of NCPCR registrants who accused the violation of UMEED Aman Ghar and Khushi Rainbow home In South Delhi, both were founded by CES.
NCPCR, APEX’s children’s rights agency, has accused that during inspection of two NGOs, many violations of the Youth Justice Act and various other deviations, including the prevalence of child sexual abuse in one of the houses, observed.
Mander has called alleged “not justified”.
“CES also experienced harassment by Wing’s economic wings and IT departments.
All of these vocal efforts are combined have demonstrated the transfer of money or violations of the law,” said the statement.
“Raids at this time by ED and the IT department must be seen in this context, as part of a sustainable state institutional harassment chain to threaten, intimidate and try to silence any criticism of the government today,” he said.
“We stand with Semesh Mander and with everyone related to the Center for Equity Studies.
The Indian Constitution and Land Law will win, revealing this intimidation tactics appropriately for what they are – abuse of state institutions to try and reduce all our rights,” said That statement.
