New Delhi: The day after ordering the direct release of NSA Cane Leichombam Erendro, the Supreme Court on Tuesday asked the Manipur government to respond to its requests for compensation and improve accountability to officers for illegal detention for inefficient social media and dirt against Covid-19.
For Father Erendro L Raghmani Singh, Advocate Shadan Farasat was pressed to improve accountability and compensation before the bench consisting of Judge Dy Chandrachud and Mr.
Shah, who asked the Manipur government to submit Affidavit against Singh in two weeks.
General Tushar Mehta lawyer, emerged for the country, asked the court to give a problem about this issue and waste the application because Erendro was released based on the SC order Monday Monday.
However, when the Petitioner’s advisor refused to resign from his request, SG said that the state would submit a document to justify his actions in holding Erendro and had more to show rather than holding it only for social media posts.
