Veteran actor Anupam Shyam, who played the role of Thakur Sajjan Singh at the Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya 2, died today.
He is 63 years old.
He was hospitalized a few days ago for the problem related to the kidneys and was in the intensive care unit.
He was placed in a ventilator for the past few days.
He died today because of organ failure.
Last year in March, the actor was hospitalized after he developed serious kidney problems.
His brother even filed a monetary assistance when they struggled to pay the hospital bill.
After the actor recovered, he had to undergo dialysis regularly.
He returned to work when Mann Kee Awaaz Season 2 was launched in 2021.
Apparently he used to finish shooting and then went for dialysis, three times a week.
In an interview he said that even though he did not take care of good health, he took the role of Thakur Sajjan Singh in Pratiga 2 because people like his character and he did not want to let his fans in the second season.
He said, “Zindagi Ki Jung Ladh Raha Tha, Wahan Se Aa Gaye Hain AB.
Now with the Pratigya event I want to entertain the audience again.”
The actor from Pratapgarh at Uttar Pradesh began his career in 1993.
He was an alumnus of the Bhartendu Drama Art Academy in Lucknow.
He has become a part of popular Bollywood films such as Dastak, Dil …, Lagaan, Golmaal, and Munna Michael.
Apart from Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya, he has also performed a show like Rishhtey, Doli Armaano Ki, Krishna Chali London and Hum Ne Li Hai.
