Actor John Challis, who was known for the essay of Boycie’s role in the British series ‘was just a fool and horse’ died after a calm battle with cancer.
He is 79 years old.
His family has confirmed the news in a statement saying, “He died peacefully in his sleep, after a long battle with cancer.”
The ‘Beindorm’ C-Star star Crissy Rock said he was broken hearted.
He tweeted: “John you are a real man and always love and support me.
I think of your family and close friends at a difficult time.
Well rest.
Crissy xx”
Earlier this month, the actor canceled his tour because of poor health.
Even though his role as Boycie made him popular among the audience and he could live in a television career for the long term by playing Captain Peacock in ‘Are you presented?’ and Monty’s stain in ‘Benidorm’.
Born in Clifton, Bristol, he is the only child from Alec, a civil servant, and Jean (Nee Harden), a drama teacher and sharp amateur actress.
Reportedly, Challis recently became a citizen of Serbian Honorary Countries, where ‘only a fool and his horse’ is one of the popular shows.
