BENGALURU: A 33-year-old bodyguard of a Bollywood actor was detained on Saturday out of Heggadahalli village at Mandya for allegedly uttered a Mumbai-based beautician after promising to marry reports Santoshkumar B.
Mandya SP M Ashwini supported the development and said Mumbai Police detained the defendant with assistance from police officers.
According to police sources, the accused came to his village a month before, a couple of days before the lockdown.
His loved ones had mended his union with a neighborhood woman.
“They were likely to finalise the marriage but he had been detained before that,” a police officer said.
A group of Mumbai Police officers led by SI Virendra Bhosle contacted Mandya and hunted local cops’ aid to detain the accused.
They hurried into Heggadahalli on Saturday afternoon and captured him.
