New Delhi: Adani Power has submitted an insulting petition at the Supreme Court against Three Rajasthan Government Discom (Power Distribution Company) because it failed to obey the APEX court order to pay the company Rs 6,738 Crore in the compensation and interest rates provided since 2013.
The amount claimed by Adani Power covers the interest cost of Rs 1,469 Crores and Rs 2,317 Crore (Legal Conservatories).
Power Petition Adani said contributions had accumulated due to the failure that continued to pay to pay.
This crippling the company’s ability to operate and serve debt.
The APEX court in 2020 upholds the electrical appeal body verdict entitled Adani Power to get compensation rates to recover higher fuel costs to produce power.
In March 2021 the APEX court rejected the petition review submitted by the discount, reaffirming the application of compensation rates based on the provisions of ‘legal change’ in their power agreement (PPAS).
Adani Power and Rajasthan Discom have been in disputes about the implementation of the provisions in their PPA signed in 2010 to supply the power of the Kawai thermal plant that was fired in the state.
The Rajasthan Discom has opposed the claims of compensation rates Adani Power, saying additional payments must be restored from consumers by raising rates that will affect the public interest.
Under changes in law clauses, if the price of fuel rises due to changes in the legal regime or imposition of any retribution, the discount is responsible for paying additional rates to cover higher generator costs.
