BENGALURU: A extra 30,100 vials of all Amphotericin-B has been allocated to each of the states and Union territories by the Centre on Monday to fight the black parasite disease, Union minister for chemicals and fertilisers D Sadananda Gowda said.
“Added 30,100 vials of all #Amphotericin-B are allocated to each of the states/UTs and fundamental associations now,” the Union tweeted Monday.
He explained that an extra 1,930 vials of all Amphotericin-B was allocated to Karnataka.
For this, the country has up to now obtained 12,710 vials.
According to the state health division, 1,250 people are infected with black fungus up to now from Karnataka, of whom 39 have died and 18 have regained.
Another 1,193 infected men and women are experiencing treatment, ” it said in a statement.
