JAMSHEDPUR: Chatra Sangh Adivasi Member Fighted a demonstration and blocked Ghatshila’s College gate for several hours on Thursday, demanding the appointment of teaching staff for the Santhali language in the undergraduate and postgraduate class.
Fani Tuddu from Sangh said, “Ghatshila College was established in an area dominated by the tribe so that the locals do not have to go to Jamshedpur, which is 45 km, to study UG and PG courses.” He added that there were more than 800 students on campus and a large piece who wanted to learn the Santhali language could not do it because of the lack of teachers.

Soren said after the death of Kishori Mohan Hansda, Head of the Santali Language Department at College Ghatshila, two years ago, not a single-appointed teacher.
He said the professor of the Department of England Naresh Kumar met with the delegation of students as the principal did not exist.
Soren said Kumar communicated the entire incident to the principal by telephone.
Kumar, on behalf of the principal, convinced the students that the authorities would see this problem and try to solve it as soon as possible.
