Bokaro: District administration on Monday held a meeting with the Puja Durga Committee to ensure that the celebration was carried out in accordance with the Covid-19 norm.
Although only two cases are currently active in the district, the government has decided not to let their guards down.
At the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Kuldeep Chaudhary asked the Puja organizers to take precautions needed to curb crowding during the festival.
Protocol such as maintaining social distance, the use of masks and sanitation is maintained.
It is mandatory for the organizers to follow all instructions or they will face legal action, he said.
Bokaro police have also increased supervision in sensitive areas in this district.
Bokaro SP Chandan Kumar Jha said that they had received additional workers from the state headquarters for legal management and order for Puja.
SP said, “The police in civil dresses have also been deployed to control evil.
We also took action against shop owners who failed to obey the Covid-19 norm.” Raids was also done in restaurants and hotels to curb forgery.
