Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh has reached a new milestone by being the only country that has managed more than 4.5 doses of Covid-19 Crore Vaccine, according to data from the Cowin portal.
One in four people in Uttar Pradesh has taken at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccine.
Government data shows that the target of 13.7 recipients who qualified Crore, more than 3.8 crores have taken at least the first dose of 27%.
However, achievements in a fully vaccinated category remain around 5.5% as 74.3 lakh people have been given at the dose.
Cowin portal numbers show that UP has provided 4.57 doses of crore vaccines that accounts for almost 10% of the total dosage given in the country.
Uttar Pradesh was followed by Maharashtra where 4.23 crore doses have been given.
Gujarat, Rajasthan and Karnataka the next picture with 3.21 crores, 3.08 crores and 2.94 crore doses, respectively.
Among the district, Lucknow peak list with a dose of Lakh 18.77, followed by Gautam Budh Nagar (15.26 lakh).
Ghaziabad (13.97 lakh), Meerut (12.77 lakh), Gorakhpur (12.34 lakh), Kanpur Nagar (11.82 lakh), Prasagraj (11.58 lakh), Varanasi (11.56 lakh), Agra (11.41 lakh) and Bareilly (10.46 lakh) are the other districts in the top ten.
Chitrakoot ranks the lowest in a dose of 2.13 lakh.
Other districts left behind were KasGanj (2.44 lakh), Shamli (3 lakh), took up (3 lakh), Hamirpur (2.97 lakh), Shraverti (2.87 lakh), Mahaga (2.81 lakh), Auraiya (2.75 lakh), Kaushambi (2.75 lakh), Kaushambi (2.72 lakh) and Lalitpur (2.49 lakh).
To increase further vaccination, the State Health Department is now targeting pregnant and lactating women.
UP is home to nearly 60 lakh pregnant and 55 lakh women breastfeeding in a year.
The main secretary, health and welfare of the family, Amit Mohan Prasad said, “The case continues to decline in the state.
A total of 36 new cases are reported in the last 24 hours while 73 people have recovered from infection.
The country is now left with 798 active cases where 550 is on Under house isolation.
“According to the official bulletin, 54 regencies recorded zero cases while 11 had become free of Coronavirus.
“Despite the reduction, the risk of infection and complications caused by it remains high which makes the prevention protocol of Covid-19 a necessity,” he said, adding that four Covid-19 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours with a total of 22,754.
