Jaipur: To find feedback and suggestions from the industry, the State Tourism Department has circulated a scheme design that is intended to provide special fiscal incentives for the promotion of tourism adventures in the state.
The department has proposed a 25% capital subsidy with a maximum RS 30 lakh to prepare projects that offer Aero, Acqua and land-based tourism activities such as hot air balloons, plunge umbrellas, parasagliding, parasailing, boating, fishing, jet skiing, trekking, rock, Trekking, Rock Hiking, various types of safari, quad cycling, birding etc.
Capital subsidies will also be available for expansion of existing adventure tourism projects but will be limited to investment made in existing unit extensions.
Subsidies for expansion projects will have a ceiling of Rs 25 Lakh.
To estimate the cost of civil work including electrification, among others, the determination of direct capital investment subsidies, the project must obtain a certificate from PWD, district collectors in land cases, bills for equipment and receipts for human resource training.
It has been made mandatory for project owners to have insurance for activities to cover all the additional costs of law and others if an accident or damage occurs.
Applicants who meet the requirements that receive subsidies will be asked to maintain a register to produce during inspection.
A committee consisting of directors and directors with the Department of Tourism, and financial advisors will examine the recommended and accepted cases by the field office.
According to the draft, the committee will meet at least every two months and make its recommendations on each case in 60 days.
In the event that the committee found shortcomings in the application, further information was obtained from the applicant through field officers before holding the next committee meeting.
The committee’s recommendation will then be submitted to administrative approval whose decisions will be final and binding.
Subsidies or approved incentives based on the scheme will be disbursed to the applicant after the project commissioning.
