Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Sabha has issued an advisor for all officials and employees, asking them to wear formal and decent clothing.
This advisor was issued by the Secretary with Narendra Kumar Mishra where he said that clothes such as Jeans, T-shirts etc.
Will no longer be permitted.
“All officers and employees are advised to dress formally, according to Vidhan Sabha’s dignity,” said the note.
Speaker Hriday Narayan Dixit told TOI that the Assembly was a constitutional arrangement and therefore, it was important for workers to fulfill the highest.
“I want to explain that this is not direction but only an advisor because no penalty is prescribed for all kinds of violations.
However, people will be very encouraged to stick to formal and decent clothing during business hours.
We want to prevent casual sauce,” he said.
There is no consultation or the same rule has been issued by Vidhan Parishad.
