Tirupur: Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) has urged the state government to make another export coverage for Tamil Nadu.AEPC chairman A Sakthivel, that fulfilled state businesses minister Thangam Thennarasu at Chennai on Wednesday, filed a memorandum.
He asked the ministry to set up new parks for artificial fiber (MMF) clothing production, sewing and hefty fabric machinery and fabric garment accessories.
Such parks might be put up in southern areas such as Madurai, Tuticorin and Tirunelveli to create additional jobs for the folks in the places, he explained.
AEPC also proposed setting the parks beneath the central government plot of mega investment fabrics park (Mitra).TNN
