Letter: The future of several oldest universities in South Gujarat, which is run by the Sarvajanik Education Society (SES) Hang balanced because there is uncertainty where their university will be affiliated.
At present, these colleges are affiliated with Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU) since they appeared.
Now, with the formation of Sarvajanik University of SES, this college is gradually favored by VNSGU in accordance with government guidelines.
However, Sarvajanic University is not ready to provide affiliates to this college without clarity about grant issues for salaries and benefits.
This has raised doubts about the future among the teachers and students of Hiband-in-Aid Colleges.
Ses-run teachers and students on Friday held protests at VNSGU and made representations to officials.
Questioned Colleges include MTB Arts College, Sir P S Sarvajanik College of Science, Sir K P College of Commerce.
However, VNSGU Vice-Chancellor K Chavda clarified that the problem between SES and the Ministry of Education and the University did not have a role to play.
“There may be two actions or a set of rules for private universities in the state.
The same rules apply to private universities in other parts of the country and according to my knowledge, no disputes,” Chavda added.
VNSGU appeared in 1966 on the Sarvajanic Education Society (SES) campus.
Meanwhile, the University of Sarvajanik Private University Ses was approved by the government recently.
SS Chairman Rising said, “We have proposed the government that we will only take Self Financial Institutions (SFI) while the Grant Assistant College will remain affiliated with VNSGU.
We are ready to provide Grant-in Aide College affiliates only if we get a guarantee of the grant The government.
“VNSGU began to be disafted from eight universities where five were run by SES, one by Vanita Wishram Trust and two of Bardoli was associated with the trust running the University of Uka Tarsadia.
Senior VNSGU syndicate member, Sanjay Desai, said, “Previously, in May the government had ordered the process of being disafted.
Therefore, the government did not do a reminder to quick implementation.
Teachers and students from these universities do not need to worry because there will be no change in benefits they receive.
