Patna: At least four armed criminals transmitted by unknown bikes pierced someone to death near the village of Anandpur Bindpur under the Bihta Police Station area in West Patna.
The incident occurred when he returned after choosing his friend from Danapur around 11:30 a.m.
on Saturday.
The killed person has been identified as a Bhim Singh Yadav, around 45 years old.
The police said he was a prosperous farmer from Semra Village under the Barhara police station in Bhojpur.
They said he was also a bodybuilding.
The police said that he returned to Semra by bicycle with Ashok Rai’s friend when the murder occurred.
Police Station Bihta Sho Ritu said that Singh was stabbed in the head, neck and stomach.
He said that Rai had reached Patna from Kolkata via the train.
“He reached Danapur in a automatic rickshaw after getting off the train in Patna Junction.
Both of them began their journey for Semra but surprisingly, they traveled from the road interior maner instead of the road straight through Bihta to travel Semra,” he said.
Raj said that like Ashok, four criminals in two separate bikes intercepted them and tried to loot.
“Rai escaped from the place, but Singh opposed and spoiled into a fight with them where he was stabbed several times resulted in his death in that place,” he said.
However, Sho said that Singh’s family members also suspected the role of Rai in the murder.
“They are still unclear whether the murder takes place during booty or it is a conspiracy planned beforehand,” he said.
Sho said that it was also a point of investigation that when a safe and straight road to achieve Bhojpur through Bihta was present and why Singh chose to travel through the interior road through Maner at night.
Raj said that the body had been cremated by the family after post Mortem.
“They were surprised and had not submitted a written complaint in connection with murder.
The investigation is happening and further action will be taken on charges in the FIR submitted by family members,” he added.
