Neighboring countries Afghanistan on Thursday issued a joint statement that urged the Taliban to form inclusive government and followed moderate policies.
It was the meeting of the first minister of neighboring Afghanistan – China, Iran, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan – because the Taliban seized Kabul.
A joint statement was released a day after Pakistani Foreign Minister, China, Iran, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan met virtually on Wednesday at Pakistan’s invitation.
The ministers also stressed that relevant UNC members must be responsible for the peace and reconstruction of Afghanistan by providing vital economic and humanitarian assistance.
“The international community should not leave Afghans.” The statement expressed support for sovereignty, independence and integrity of the territorial of Afghanistan, and non-interference in its internal affairs.
It warns of the role of spoilers, both at home and abroad, to thwart the efforts towards comprehensive political settlement.
It also confirms that terror clothing like IS, Al-Qaida, the East Turkestan Islamic movement, TTP and others should not be permitted to maintain the footing in the Afghanistan region.
