Afghan refugees began to drive to secure asylum for women, children

In the summer of 2019, Adeeba Qayoumi, a 21-year-old candidate doctor, moved to Delhi from Herat, Afghanistan.
The move occurred after his mother, an activist and civil rights lawyer, began to often get the threat of death from the Taliban, one even signed and labeled.
Now, Qayoumi has started a petition on website changes.org urges the government to give asylum to women and children trapped in Afghanistan.
The petition has crossed the four signatives of Lakh.
The petition, he said, was to remember his cousin Farishta Kohistani.
“Farishta and his brother were killed by the Taliban in 2020.
He was like my mother – he said we should always raise our voices for women and children.
He is a civil rights activist who works on the right of education, work and sometimes With family problems between husband and wife.
He became famous in Afghanistan for his work, “he said.
Witnessing the situation in Afghanistan deteriorated, Qayoumi was inspired by the courage of his cousin late to make this petition.
Another reason is the oldest sister, who returned to Afghanistan and now lives there with her husband and children.
“We can communicate with him, but we cannot find a way to remove it from there.
We have apply for Visa Online, asking people in India to ask for help, but we do not know what will happen,” he said.
Qayoumi has worked as a translator at Delhi Clinic, helping them communicate with foreign patients, many of them fellow Afghan refugees.
Topper in school and college, he had to leave his MBBS title when he came to Delhi.
He said that his experience had taught him that salvation and peace were the most important thing in life – that was what he would expect for other Afghan women.
“One can survive anywhere if there is security and peace.
This is more important than food and water too,” he said.
