KABUL: The former Afghan government forces formed a resistance movement in a enriched valley was preparing “long-term conflict”, but also tried to negotiate with the Taliban, their spokesman told AFP in an interview.
Because the Taliban took control of the state after the lightning content to the capital Kabul, thousands of people had walked to Panjshir to jointly join the fight and find a safe place to continue their lives, said Ali Maisam Nazary.
There, Ahmad Massoud, son of the legendary mujahideen commander Ahmad Shah Massoud who was killed by Al-Qaeda two days before the attack on September 11, 2001, had gathered the fighting strength of around 9,000 people, added Nazary.
The picture taken by AFP during training training shows dozens of recruitment that performs fitness routines, and a handful of Humves driving armored crosses the valley in northeast Kabul.
The main objective of the national resistance is to avoid further bloodshed in Afghanistan and suppress new government systems.
But Nazary said the group was also prepared for conflict, and if the Taliban did not negotiate, they would face resistance throughout the country.
“The condition for the peace agreement with the Taliban is a decentralization – a system that ensures social justice, equality, rights, and freedom for all,” said Nazary, Head of NRF’s foreign relations, added that if the Taliban did not agree there to “long-term conflict”.
Talks between local leaders from northern Afghanistan and authorities in Pakistan lasted until a few days ago, he added.
While the Taliban controlled most of Afghanistan, Nazary optimistically highlighted reports that local militias in several districts had begun to reject their hardline rules and have formed a link with NRF Massoud.
“Massoud doesn’t give orders for these things to happen but they are all related to us,” said Nazary.
“Taliban is too high.
They can’t be everywhere at the same time.
Their resources are limited.
They don’t have support between the majority.” He said, however, that Masood had a different view from Amrullah Saleh, who was just a vice president who also swore in the valley and last week vowed to lead a rebellion.
“Mr.
Saleh is in Panjshir.
He chose to live in the country and did not run away,” said Nazary, noting a strong anti-Pakistani attitude of godly at odds with Massoud who wanted good relations with neighbors who supported the Taliban Afghanistan.
“Mr.
Saleh is an anti-Taliban and anti-Pakistani.
That does not mean he is part of this movement.
He is in Panjshir and he is respected.” The current goal is to maintain Panjshir and his people, said Nazary.
“If there is aggression because our fight is only for defense; if anyone attacks us, we will defend yourself.” In addition to the strength of the battle of Massoud, Panjshir is now hosting more than 1,000 displaced people from all Afghanistan who have poured into the valley looking for a sanctuary, said Nazary.
“We see Panjshir into a safe zone for all groups that feel threatened in other provinces.” He added that the province had seen intellectual entry, female activists and human rights, and politicians “who felt threatened by the Taliban”.

Nazary told AFP that they also needed humanitarian assistance to feed and take care of the new arriving.
Massoud was determined to stand near the Valley and took his father’s coat, Nazary added, emphasizing Afghanistan requiring a federation government system to close the endless cycle of war cycles.
“War is just a by-product of conflict in Afghanistan.
What causes conflict is that Afghanistan is a country consisting of ethnic minority …
(and) in multi-ethnic countries you cannot have one ethnic group dominating politics and others attendance in margins .
“Nazary said Massoud’s resistance, and others throughout Afghanistan, was very important in making this change occur.
“Panjshir always becomes a fool of hope.”
