Afghan Series: PCB places the National Camp and the selection of the detained team

Karachi: The Pakistani Cricket board has held a training camp scheduled to start on Saturday in Lahore and also the announcement of his squad for the one-day series against Afghanistan next month in Sri Lanka.
With the Taliban took control of Afghanistan and the country faced the worst crisis in the past two decades, PCB wants confirmation from the Afghan cricket board whether this series is on and only then they will announce the squad.
This series will begin on September 3 at Hambantota in Sri Lanka with the Sri Lankan board that holds the match on behalf of ACB.
The official said the Afghan cricket authority had not confirmed when their players would leave Kabul for Colombo and also the match schedule.
“Once they gave us a plan of a series of series and travel plans we would have a tent and also let go of our troops,” he said.
ACB was said to be in talks with the Taliban authorities and US forces who controlled all flights in and out of Kabul airport.
One of the Senior Cricket Afghanistan officials said they would soon get permission and details about how and when their players would fly from Kabul to Colombo.
Pakistan is expected to rest senior players including Babar Azam captain, Muhammad Rizwan and Pacers, Hasan Ali and Shaheen Shah Afridi for the series which is the first bilateral series between the two countries.
The four senior players are resting to be fresh for the house series against New Zealand and the United Kingdom and the World T20 in the UAE.
Afghanistan also among countries participating in the WCT20.
