MySuru: Horror ongoing and bloody retaliation in Afghanistan makes students study here worried about pain.
Many cannot concentrate on their studies and worry about the fate of their family members returning home.
“Even though we are related to our parents and relatives, political turmoil in a small country we have destroyed us.
We are in a catchment of-22,” said a student from Afghanistan in the city.
The Delegation of Afghan students met the University of Mysore (UOM) VC G Hemantha Kumar and R Shivappa registrar looking for their support.
VC Hemantha Kumar said, “All Afghan students relate to their parents.
They are worried about their stay and future here.
We have convinced them all support,” he told Ti.
“Many of these students will finish their courses in the next few weeks.
They are tense in what they have to do after the test is finished.
We told them that we would seek help from the trade union government, and that UOM would take care of them until the situation returned to Normal.
“The students urged the United States to expand their visas until peace returned to their country.
“We followed the news on television.
Our parents asked us to concentrate on our study.
But we can’t do it,” said Haleem A.
Other students said that his family prayed desperately for peace and ended the earliest crisis.
Police Commissioner Chandragupta said about 95 citizens from Afghanistan were in Mysore and the majority of them were students.
All have a valid visa.
An official from a special branch said the Afghan citizen had undergone law -abidi.
There are no legal and order problems involving them in Mysuru.
Until now there is no information from the foreign regional registration office about the end of the Afghan citizen visa.
According to sources, more than two dozen citizens of Afghanistan from a total of 95 who live in MySuru are women.
