KABUL: The Ministry of Higher Education Afghanistan and the country’s higher education institutions tend to decide to restart the university class in a week, Afghan media reported on Sundays.
Acting the Ministers of Higher Education, Abdul Baqi Haqqani, who was appointed by the Taliban, said that the discussion would not take more than a week, adding that curriculum changes were also discussed, according to Khaama Press.
The official stated that non-essential subjects will be replaced with more modern so that Afghan students can compete with the whole world.
Haqqani also confirms that men and women will be separated into different classes.
The newly appointed Minister of Education has repeatedly said that education activities will take place in accordance with sharia law.
Many people have painted this step, which will seize high education girls as a major university in the country unable to provide different classes due to scarcity of resources.
According to the Taliban Watch rights group, last month the owner of a private university objected to the order of the Taliban separating the girls from boys and told the authorities in the meeting that there was not enough female teachers.
