Jawzjan / Kabul / Khost: A total of 21 terrorists confirmed to die as a fighting plane hit the Taliban position in the North Jawzjan Province of Afghanistan on Friday, a military spokesman in the northern region of Mohammad Hanif Rezai said Saturday.
The spotlight targeted the position and hiding of Taliban in Murghab, Hasantabin, Atma, and villages side by side along the road connecting Jawzjan to the province of Sari Pul who was close to Friday afternoon, killing 21 militants and injuring 10 others, other officials said.
Taliban terrorists, who have intensified activities from the beginning of dozens of US-led troops from Afghanistan in early May and reportedly flooded around 200 districts, had not made comments.
Two separate accidents claimed the lifetime of at least 20 people were killed and 18 others were injured in two separate traffic accidents in the province of Laghman Afghanistan, according to the report on Saturday.
The two accidents occurred in the Qarghayi district in a range of 12 hours.
Someone happened near Narinj Bagh Village and involving a passenger bus collided with other vehicles.
Because of the accident, eight people were killed and 10 more injured.
Another incident occurred near the village of Aziz Khat Kats, killing 12 people and wounding eight others.
The provincial governor’s office said in a statement that the driver’s carelessness was behind the two incidents.
The Taliban attack killed 2, several injeedatleast two Afghan civilians were killed and 30 others suffered injuries in the “Taliban attack” during the ceremony on the National Flag Day in the Yaquubi District in Khost Province on Friday, according to the Provincial Government.
“Two civilians were killed and 30 more injured in the Taliban attack,” the report quoted the Governor’s Office Khost.
Taliban have not commented on the incident.
Violence has increased in Afghanistan in recent weeks when the Taliban have intensified their attacks on civilians, Afghan defense and security forces.
This came after withdrawal of foreign troops from a war-hit by a war.
Over the past few weeks, they arrested several districts in Afghanistan including Takhar, the country’s northeastern province.
The Taliban confiscated more than 193 district centers and 19 border districts, according to the Afghan Foreign Ministry.
The Taliban has also taken control of 10 border intersection points throughout the country in Takhar, Kunduz, Badakhshan, Herat and Farah Province which leads to the close of cross-border and trade movements in this area.
The Ministry further revealed that since April 14, almost 4,000 personnel of AndSF had been killed, more than 7,000 were injured and around 1,600 were arrested by the Taliban.
As many as 2,000 civilians, including women and children, were killed in violence, while 2,200 was injured.
