KABUL: Government employees face financial problems in Afghanistan because the government office is mostly closed since the government of Ashraf Ghani collapsed last month after the Taliban takeover.
According to residents, they face financial problems because most government offices remain closed and their wages have not been paid, tolo news reports.
Geti, a teacher at the government school, returned to his job a week after the Taliban came to power, but he had not received his salary.
“I did not get a salary for two months.
I faced economic problems.
Teachers at my school are the only breadwinners for their families,” Geti’s quoted.
Residents also voiced concerns over the closure of several offices throughout the country.
People are waiting to accept their national identity card.
Enalatullah, a resident Kabul, said, “I came to get my identity card.
The process has not been continued.
I request that this process be started immediately,” Tolo News reported.
Furthermore, reported that the Taliban Government Prime Minister Mullah Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund earlier on Wednesday ordered all ministries and several other government offices to immediately start providing services to the people.
It Haafghanistan has been more than a month when the Taliban arrested Kabul after aggressive and rapid progress against Afghan government forces amid the withdrawal of US and NATO troops from the country.
The country fell into the crisis last month after Kabul fell to the Taliban and the government of former President Ashraf Ghani was elected democratically collapsed.
