KABUL: Afghanistan has attracted an ambassador and his diplomat from the capital of Pakistan after the kidnapping of the duta duta, the Afghan Foreign Ministry said on Sunday, a new blow to relations at a sensitive time for the Afghan peace process.
The Afghan Ambassador’s daughter for Pakistan was confiscated on Friday and held for several hours by unknown attackers who left him with a rope injury and signs and the Pakistani authorities said they were investigating.
“The Afghan government remembers the ambassador and senior diplomat to Kabul to the elimination of total security threats, including the arrest and punishment of the perpetrators,” the Foreign Ministry said.
The Pakistani Foreign Ministry in a statement called the “regrettable” decision and said hoping the Afghan government would reconsider.
“The Foreign Secretary meets Afghan Ambassador today, highlighting all the steps taken by the government in this context, and convincing him in full cooperation,” he said.
Pakistan is considered a key player in the peace process in Afghanistan.
Neighboring countries have long had a cold bond.
Kabul accused Pakistan that allows Hongens to be safe for the Taliban, while Islamabad accused Kabul who allowed militants to use their territory to carry out attacks in Pakistan.
