Afghanistan: Taliban captured the province near the capital, attacking the northern city

KABUL: Taliban confiscated a province south of the Afghan capital and launched a multi-branch attack on Saturday Saturday at Mazar-e-Sharif, a big city in the north survived by former high-ranking officials, Afghan officials said.
Homa Ahmadi, a member of Parliament from Logar, said the Taliban controlled all provinces, including its capital, and reached the district in the nearby Kabul Province on Saturday.
It puts the rebels of less than 80 km (50 miles) south of the country’s capital.
The Taliban has also captured many of North, West and South Afghanistan less than three weeks before the United States will attract his last troops.
Munir Ahmad Farhad, a spokesman for the provincial governor in the North Balkh Province, meanwhile, said the Taliban attacked the city of Mazar-e-Sharif from several directions, setting a heavy battle on his edge.
There is no word directly to the victim.
Afghan President Ashraf Ghani had flown to Mazar-e-Sharif on Wednesday to collect city defense, meeting with some militia commanders allied with the government.
Taliban arrested many southern Afghanistan in the last few days with a quick attack that has raised concerns from full takeover.
The progress of lightning they have abandoned government-backed government in controlling provincial smelling in the center and east, and Kabul and Mazar-e-Sharif.
Withdrawal of foreign troops and swift retreats of the Afghan forces themselves – although hundreds of billions of dollars in US aid for many years – has raised concerns, the Taliban can return to power or the country can plunge into the civil war.
The first marines of the contingent of 3,000 arrived on Friday to help partially evacuate the US embassy.
The rest is set to arrive on Sundays, and the spread they have asked questions about whether the administration will meet the August 31 withdrawal time limit.
The temporary Taliban released a video where the unnamed rebels announced the takeover of the main radio station in the southern city of Kandahar, which fell into a guerrilla earlier this week.
The station has changed its name to Sharia’s voice, or Islamic law.
He said all employees were present and will broadcast news, political analysis and the reading of the Koran, the Islamic holy book.
It seems the station will no longer play music.
It is not clear whether the Taliban has cleared the previous employees or let them return to work.
Most of the people of Kandahar specialized in traditional dresses liked by the Taliban.
The man in the video congratulated the people of the Taliban victory.
Taliban has operated cellular radio stations for years, but has not operated stations in big cities since they ruled the country in 1996-2001.
At that time, they also run a station called Sharia’s voice from Kandahar, the birth of militant groups.
Music is prohibited.
The US stormed shortly after the 9/11 attack, which was planned by Al-Qaeda and was carried out when protected by the Taliban.
After quickly expelling the Taliban, the US shifted towards the development of the nation, hoping to create a modern state of Afghanistan after decades of war and riots.
Earlier this year, President Joe Biden announced the timeline to withdraw all US troops at the end of August, promised to end the longest war of America.
His predecessor, President Donald Trump, has reached an agreement with the Taliban to pave the way for US withdrawal.
Biden’s announcement set the latest attack in the movement.
The Taliban, which has long controlled most of the countryside of Afghanistan, moves quickly to seize the provincial capital, border crossings, and other major infrastructure.
They are now within 80 km (50 miles) from Kabul.
Tens of thousands of Afghans had left their homes, with many who were afraid of returning to the rules of the oppressive Taliban.
The previous group has regulated Afghanistan under the hardly version of Islam in which women are mostly limited to homes.
