Chandigarh: The current incident in Afghanistan has raised new security questions, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said on Monday, asserting the central government alert and able to handle any situation.
He also said there was no anti-national force that must be permitted to encourage terrorism from all borders by taking advantage of developments in Afghanistan.
He discussed the third Tandon Tandon Tandon commemoration course organized by Panjab University on national security issues.
“What happens in neighboring Afghanistan is increasing new questions in terms of security and our government keeps the watch on the development there,” Singh said in his speech delivered through video conferencing.
Along with the security of Indians, Singh said, “Our government also wants that anti-national forces do not encourage terrorism from all borders by taking advantage of developments there.” “We have some more concerns that can be a challenge from the national security standpoint,” he added.
Singh said the Modi-LED government in the center was alert and able to handle any situation.
