Afoot moves in Punjab to form a Farmer Political Party for Poll Leap

JaLandhar: Gung-ho after returning to “win” from the Delhi border after getting three central agriculture laws revoked, the Punjab agricultural group might defend himself to find the political arena for the election of Punjab by forming a new farmer party.
If this becomes a reality, it will disappoint the calculation of polls from all established parties in the state.
“We actively worked in this direction and contacted a different agricultural union to form a farmer party and also expanded the platform to oppose the election.
The problem has been discussed among agricultural groups and we strive to bring all stakeholders above the council to form a farmer party And also to take good representatives from other parts and profession to bring qualitative political changes in Punjab, “said Jaswinder Singh Sangha.
, Secretary General of the Jalandhar Potato Farmers Association, in the influential farmer group in the region.
He said they also worked to bring to the mission of the Punjab fold launched by BKU leader Gurnam Singh Chaduni so that strong strength was formed.
“We talk to trade unions who are part of Sanyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM), other agricultural groups and Mazdoor organizations because people have been disappointed with other established political parties and have strong underground currents for qualitative change,” he added.
“Regular refrain between agricultural groups and farmers is that farmers must expand their own platform and contest in its place to have an alliance with the existing political parties,” Sangha said.
The agricultural movement has added to political fluidity in the state and in the case of agricultural groups jumping into the field of polls by forming a general platform, this will make it difficult for the situation and all arithmetic polls will change.
Other parties – Congress, Shiromani Akali Dal and AAP – tend to be affected while BJP has been limited to urban areas, except a little exception.
Traditionally, Congress and Dal Sad have dominated in the Political Punjab arena, and the latter has an alliance with BJP, Avatar Jan Jan Sangh until 1980 and then with BSP.
However, as a disappointment with the major players grew, it proved profitable for AAP in the 2014 election despite the lack of party infrastructure.
However, the party failed to get further as a central leadership through his observer from Delhi – managing party affairs, and it could get only 20 seats in the 2017 assembly selection, with a vote also dipped slightly even though the SAD-BJP alliance was relegated to third place.
In 2019, AAP even lost security deposits in most seats but after the crisis at Congress began in April, it began to get land.
The sources placed properly revealed that AAP also sent envoys to senior agricultural leaders to join hands.
However, Sangha said that most of the agricultural groups did not want to join or have alliances with any party.
