Karachi / Dubai: Pakistan Pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi personally apologized to the Bangladesh Afif Hossain’s dough after hitting him with a two-time throws in Dhaka.
He has also been fined 15 percent of the cost of the match for his actions on Saturday.
Shaheen lost his cool after Hossain hit him for six.
Fast bowler Pakistan then took the ball in follow-up and threw it to the stump even though Hossain was in the fold.
The ball hit the dough and a doctor rushed to the field to make sure he was fine.
Pakistani cricket board released Shaheen’s video walking to Hussain after the match and apologized to him for action and also hugged him with a smile.
It is a level 1 violation in accordance with the ICC code of ethics.
One point of the demerit has been added to Shaheen disciplinary records, for whom it is the first violation in the 24 month period.
“Afridi acknowledged the violation and received sanctions proposed by Rashid’s Neeyamur from the international match panel Emirates ICC R references and ratified by the Cricket ICC operation department in accordance with the temporary playing regulations Covid-19.
There is no need for formal hearing,” ICC said in a statement.
