AFTAB Shivdasani and Nin Dusanj embraced the parents last year because they welcomed a daughter during a pandemic.
The couple had named their baby girl nevaeh and celebrated his first birthday on July 28 with low celebrations.
In an exclusive conversation with Etimes, the couple opened about Parenthood and shared tasks evenly.
Quote:

How to be a parent for a pandemic? Aftab: This is a blessing because we have time to spend time together as a family.
It’s just fun to watch Nevaeh grow and reach every milestone.
I thank you for the time we have together.
The best thing about motherhood is …
Nin: Knowing that our daughter has chosen us to be a caregiver of her soul during its words.
This is a massive responsibility but I feel honored to have this angel on my side every day and I was dedicated to maintaining and supporting it on his way.
Motherhood is very strong and it teaches you so much – from resistance to patience to your awesome; This is a wonderful trip to turn on.
We feel very blessed.
One thing that changes after becoming a father? Aftab: I think I have become more patient because it is a very important virtue to have.
There are many sacrifices that parents have to do to raise children.
And Kudos for Nin because he did more than me and really moved to see his blossoms as a mother and entered a new journey together.
How do you celebrate Nevaeh’s first birthday? AFTAB: We want him to experience nature and get used to the wild because we both like nature.
So it is a small but intimate celebration for him in nature.
Is that a conscious decision to keep nevaeh from social media? Aftab: Yes.
When our daughter is very valuable to us, we want to keep it away from the illusion of social media as long as possible.
How does Aftab and you distribute Mommy-Daddy’s duties? Nin: We try parents equally.
We never talked about dividing assignments, we only did things as teams and what came naturally and instinctively for us.
We both did diapers, playing, bathing time, comforting him.
We enjoy sharing the parenthood experience.
We made sure we were a lot in nature and walked because it was good for all of us and for Nevaeh to see the world that he entered.
One thing you notice has changed in Aftab since he became a father? Nin: I think Aftab might feel more responsible now that he has a daughter; We both did it.
He has become more present and patient as you have when you have a little crawl everywhere.
