After 1.5 years, Mumbai School, Junior Higher Education to Open on October 4

Mumbai: After 18 months of shutdown driven by pandemic, schools and junior colleges in Mumbai can welcome to their physical class students, grade 8 to 12 students from October 4.
BMC education officers Raju Tadvi on Wednesday issued permission permission Higher secondary students after the future of the commissioner of the city of Iqbal Chahal.
The state has provided a nod on Friday and leaves a final decision in urban areas to civil leaders or collectors.
Thane and Navi Mumbai’s civil bodies will make a decision about the reopening of the school on Thursday, while the Government of Vanas-Virar and Palghar will make calls next week.
In Mumbai, a total of 2,553 junior schools and colleges can return 5.13 lakh students to the classroom.
However, most of the school plans to start in a gradual way of welcoming grade 10 students.
Many principals say 12th grade students (who are not vaccinated because they are still not 18 years old) they will not be able to reach their college because they will not be traveled.
The school can bring STD 10 students first, those who are in 8 and 9 in Novemberschools can bring grade 8 and 9 students in mid-November, when the second semester began.
All junior schools and colleges have the first semester exam next month in online mode.
Most junior colleges will start their new academic year for class XI students online from next week.
All standard operating procedures recorded by the state must be followed, said Tadvi.
Parental approval will be mandatory, and educational institutions must make online learning.
“We will restore our class X students because they can go down with their practical and mock tests before their first semester online board in November,” said Perin Bagli, Principal, School of Activities, School of Indian Secondary Certificate Certificate (Cisce).
BMC has given permission to Cisce, CBSE and international education boards in the city to conduct physical examinations until November.
The principal of the State Board School said it would be a challenge to plan 327 class X students.
“With 24 benches in class, we cannot accommodate more than 12 students.
The teacher will not be able to do online and offline classes simultaneously,” he said.
Vaccination of teachers and non-teaching staff is still ongoing and many will not be permitted to travel trains, said the principal.
The St Xaviers College Vice-Principal (Junior College) Hasnain Naqvi said they would accept the reopening after considering government guidelines and their readiness.
Schools and colleges have begun to collect approval letters from parents, but say their responses are bad.
When school in rural areas opened for class 8-12 in July, only 10% of students attended the physical class.
More than 35% of schools in the state have been reopened.
781 Civil schools with 67,361 higher secondary students descended to place the Covid protocol.
The center of vaccination and quarantine in civil schools has been ordered to move.
