Srinagar: Terrorists who target non-Kashmir at J & K widen their massacre on Sundays, shooting dead two workers from Bihar and critically injuring one third in South Kashmir Regency to take civilian casualties to 11 in two weeks, including migrant workers.
The murder occurred a day after a terrorist with a journey of shooting a roadside snack vendor from Bihar in downtown Srinagar and a carpenter from Pulwama within a few hours each other.
The victims – King of Devi Dev and Joginder Reshi Dev – were in their rented accommodation in Laran Gangipora Wanpoh in Kulgam with fellow native residents of Bihar when the terrorists looked and opened fire, police said indiscriminately, police said.
The king and Joginder died where they fell while the third person in the room, was identified as Chunchun Reshi Dev, said to be stable after being treated at Anannag Hospital.
Migrant workers in other rooms from rented houses are not hurt.
A police official quoted one of them said that the two deceased was shot six times each.
In a message flashing to 10 district police headquarters in the Late Night Valley, IGP (Kashmir Range) Vijay Kumar said, “All non-local workers in their respective jurisdictions must be taken to the nearest police or paramilitary forces or establishments just now.
The problem is very urgent .
“Cm Bihar Nitish Kumar announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh to the families of workers killed.
He also called J & K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, looking for an adequate migrant score from Bihar who earned a living in UT as a vendor or roadside worker.

Three days later, a leading Kashmir Pandit businessman Makan Lal Bindroo and a Pani Puri seller from Bihar, Virendra Paswan, was shot and killed by Pakistan’s Lashkar-E-Taiba affiliate trf supported in a separate incident in Srinagar.
On October 7, terror clothes attacked back at Srinagar school, checking staff identity cards before choosing Kashmir Sikh Principal Supinder Kour and Kashmir’s colleague Pandit Deepak Chand.
Since then, the target of selective terror attacks has become migrant workers, all of them except one of Bihar.
The victims on Saturday were Pani Puri Vendor Arbind Kumar and Carpenter Sagir Ahmad.
Thirty civilians have been killed in a terror attack at J & K this year, including Akash Mehra, son of the owner of Srinagar Eatery Krishna Dhaba who is popular.
He had been fatal by terrorists on February 17.
