Gurgaon: Gang ‘Thak Thak’ is active in the city again.
Some examples of bags and valuables were stolen from the car parked after the window damaged had been reported from various parts of the city in the past two months.
The last gang was active in Gurgaon in mid-2018, and the police had caught dozens of members.
According to the police, the gang targets vehicles parked on the market and sightseeing.
If someone sits inside, they divert the attention of commuting with various tricks and steal bags from the car, an officer said.
On Monday, Nitin parked his car outside the mall in sector 83 and went to the drug store to buy several drugs.
He returned a few minutes later to find the window of his car broken and his bag was stored in a lost back seat.
“The bag has a laptop, watch, and some of my documents.
I have left my car just a few minutes,” said Nitin.
Based on his complaint, a case has been registered at the Kherki Daula police station under the Section 379 (theft) IPC.on January 12, two air guns worth RS 3.2 Lakh were stolen from two national level shooters, allegedly by gang members, in conscious Bazar.
After completing the training session, Vinay Rathee (20) and his friend Sagar (18) had gone to the market to buy a cellphone cover.
Sagar went shopping, while Vinay waited in the car.
Humans knocked on car windows and said some money belonging to Sagar had fallen on the road.
When Vinay stepped out of the car to take cash, other people stole two bags from the back seat.
The bag has two air guns, shooting frames and 8,000 Rs in cash.
Very like this has become a regular occurrence in Gurgaon for two months.
The gang was active in the city after 2018, when dozens of members were arrested.
After the arrest series, the incidence of theft from the parked car almost stopped.
“Gang members have stopped coming to Gurgaon, but now they are again active,” said a senior police officer.
“Our team works to identify and trace gang members,” said Palwan Preet Sangwan.
