Kolkata: The Institute of Management of India Calcutta has appointed a director after a five-month gap.
Uttam Kumar Sarkar, who was responsible on Wednesday, was associated with the Institute for two and a half decades.
Sarkar replaces Anju Seth who resigned in a rather unfavorable state in March after a difference that cannot be reconciled by the Board of Directors and the Institute of Faculty of Faculty.
The Dean of the External Relationship of Prashant Mishra has led the Institute in a temporary period.
Unlike Seth, which is in the Pamplin College of Business in Virginia Tech before joining IIM-C in 2018, Sarkar has been a faculty member at the Institute in three stints – first between 1997 and 2000, then 2002 to 2006 and finally from 2008 and finally from 2008 and finally .
He has taught management information systems.
Between 2015 and 2018, he also dean new initiatives and external relations at the Institute.
Sarkar has also become a professor of visit at the University of Miami, Florida.
Between 1990 and 1995, he was a lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Jadavpur University.
Alumnus from Ramakrishna Mission Housing Narendrapur housing, he performed Btech, MTech and PhD in computer science and engineering from IIT Kharagpur.
He is a leading researcher in the field of information systems with many publications in prestigious international journals with credit.
