After a bad response, Noida sets a January deadline for PET registry

Noida: Not happy with the response to mandatory PET registration drives, launched in September last year, the Noida Authority has now set a January 31 deadline for all pet owners to complete the process.
Failure to do so, the official said, will invite a fine of RS 500.
According to officials, only 200 pet owners, so far, have registered with the application of pet registration.
Authority, meanwhile, has compiled a list of around 5,000 homeowners who have pets.
The survey, officials said, carried out with the help of Rwas.
Pet registration application launched with the aim of promoting pet welfare and pet owners in the city, where other than vaccination facilities, complaints related to pet impurities in public locations or causes of interference can also be submitted in the application.
“We have received a low response to the PET registration drive, where only 200 pet owners have registered their pets so far, while according to our survey there are 5,000 pets in the noida housing sector and increases high.
The numbers may be more when we continue Collecting data from the Association of Resident Welfare, “said RK Sharma, senior manager of the Ministry of Health, Noida Authority.
Sharma further stated that remembering a low response to the drive, although it was launched more than three months ago, the CEO Noida Authority Ritu Maheshwari has directed that January 31 deadline was set for registration owners.
“After that, we will collect a fine of Rs 500 per pet that remains unlisted.
It is mandatory for pet owners to get their pets registered and we urge all the residents to advance and take advantage of the benefits of this initiative,” Sharma said, who added That all types of pets, including dogs, cats and other types of pets are needed to be registered under the drive.
While the registration fee of the RS 500 per PET owner will be charged, Sharma added that in turn, pets will be given vaccination and free tracking for health problems.
After the direction on Sunday, the 11 Rwa Sector scheduled a pet registration camp for residents in this sector at the center of their community from 12 noon until 3pm.
“All pet owners in this sector have been intimidated to take advantage of the benefits of the registration camp.
For this, they are required to submit documents such as copies of their Aadhaar cards, vaccination chart / book that contains the date of vaccination by mentioning the future date and photos of their pets together With the image of the owner, “said Anjana Bhagi, Rwa Secretary General 11.
